Report to the President: Fiscal Year 2021

This report provides an overview of fiscal year 2021 activities at the IDA Science and Technology Policy Institute (STPI). STPI provides an independent, objective source of analyses for the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and several other organizations in the Federal Government. The report provides highlights of STPI’s projects in the following categories: the nation’s research and development (R&D) endeavor; federal technology policy; space technology and policy; STEM education, workforce, and talent pool; infrastructure assessments; advancing Federal R&D partnerships; Federal pandemic preparation and response; and agency program and portfolio assessments.
