IDA Evaluated the Impact of Border Patrol Sanctions on Illegal Border Crossings
Exploiting random variation in the rollout of sanctions between 2008 to 2012, we estimated that sanctions can account for 28 to 44 percent of the observed decline in recidivism in apprehensions over that time period.

IDA’s Retention Prediction Model (RPM) is a military retention application of FIFE for producing person-level retention forecasts.
