Personal needs greatly influence the choices we make every day. Young or old, single or married, our needs differ. That’s why IDA wants to provide you with the freedom to select quality benefit options that work best for your situation. IDA, through all of its employee benefits partners, offers you a comprehensive benefits program that allows choice and flexibility for you and your family.

Health and Welfare

IDA offers rich medical, dental, and vision coverage in addition to pretax healthcare and dependent care flexible spending accounts. We offer a choice between the Aetna PPO, the Aetna Consumer Driven Health Plan (CDHP) with a Health Savings Account, or the Kaiser HMO plan. MetLife dental and VSP Signature vision plans are available as well.

Retirement

senior citizen couple riding bikeIDA offers two retirement plans through which eligible employees may accumulate retirement income. For eligible plan participants, IDA contributes an amount equal to 11% of the staff member’s base salary. Both plans offer investment opportunities.

Paid Time Off

Paid Time Off (PTO) provides employees flexibility to take paid time to manage personal needs away from work. Benefits eligible employees earn PTO on the following annualized accrual schedule:

  • Less than 3 years of service = 20 days
  • 3 or more years of service = 25 days

Holidays

IDA generally observes the same holidays as the Federal Government and offers 11 paid holidays to employees.

Short-Term and Long-Term Disability

IDA’s STD plan provides employees with continued pay at 100% base salary for a maximum of six months in the event they are unable to work due to a health or medical condition. After six consecutive months of disability, IDA’s LTD plan provides employees with continued pay at 60% of base salary.

Parental Leave

IDA offers a six weeks paid parental leave to benefit-eligible employees who are birth mothers (in addition to recovery time covered by short-term disability), spouses or partners of birth mothers, and adoptive parents.

Other Paid Leaves of Absence

Paid leaves of absence are available to staff members for jury duty, certain types of professional development, bereavement leave. Employees also receive 80 hours paid leave followed by pay differential, if any, for short-term military reserve training and military leave.

Educational Assistance

Education is important to us and we encourage and support our employees interested in pursuing higher education. IDA offers tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 per calendar year. We also offer a competitive IDA Scholar Award program that offers full tuition costs for a select number of employees enrolled in strong academic programs at accredited U.S. colleges and universities.
