The Live Fire group plans, observes and analyzes realistic testing of the survivability and lethality of covered weapon systems on the DOT&E oversight list. Covered systems include missiles; munitions; directed-energy weapons; and major systems that are user-occupied, designed to provide some degree of protection to its occupants in combat, or of special interest. We provide timely and reasonable assessments of the systems’ survivability and lethality as they progress through the development process toward a production decision. Specific areas of expertise include:
- Aircraft Weapons.
- Antiaircraft Weapons.
- Ballistic Missile Defense.
- Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems.
- Fixed-Wing Aircraft.
- Ground Combat and Support Vehicles.
- Land Attack Weapons.
- Personal Protective Equipment.
- Rotary-Wing Aircraft.
- Surface Ships, Submarines and Naval Weapons.
