- An MA or MS in international relations, national or international security studies, or some related national security discipline is preferred. Very strong candidates with BS will also be considered.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, a capacity for independent thinking and judgment, and familiarity with the national security establishment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute effectively to a team approach are also essential.
